Are you the girl's parent? An unhooked UMC kid who played sports and scored 26 on the ACT is literally a dime a dozen. No private college is giving such a kid a full ride. |

Ffs, either congratulate them or mind your own business.

You seem oddly triggered by this. Lighten up |
I’m betting they know the details because they got desperately nosy and started rooting around for them when they saw a post on SM about this child’s scholarship. They got insanely jealous and started convincing themselves it is a lie in order to protect a pathologically frail ego. |

There is no such thing as an athletic full ride at D3 schools. Meaning, even if you are a D1 level athlete and want to attend, say, Randolph Macon College in Ashland, they simply can not come up with any scheme to get you 4 years for free.
- signed, father of a D1 athlete that actually wanted to go to a smaller school and be a student athlete. |
Ehhh, everybody would prefer having a kid who can perform surgery over a kid that can kick a ball far. No need to be butt hurt your kid falls into the latter. |
| D3s offer merit scholarships. Coaches have pull to get one of their athletes this type of award. It’s very common. |
| What an obnoxious post. |
Bingo. Parents lie. |
Why would you congratulate someone who is lying to your face? |
So? My kid excelled enough not to prep for the ACT, took his 1st score because it met the Ivy index. He excelled at the school academically and got his school national attention. Why hate? |
It’s probably free tuition but not free room and board. That’s what we got. |
Name the school or it didn't happen. And the school can't be Berea. |
I want other sports parents not to talk to non sports parents about it. It’s amazing how jealous and rude people are. We have many friends who are happy and supportive and watch the games texting us congratulations. But there is definitely a group of serious haters. You need to keep it on the down low people turn green |
