NP here. I hear what you’re trying to say, but you as a freshman at 5’ and this kid as a freshman at 5’6” seems to be a big difference. This kid is about the median height for a 15 year old. |
Like your dramatics. |
Maybe his elementary school went up to grade 8, lol. |
Yeah, I figured I would just make up a story. So, while we are at it, I bet your parents were Massengill bags too |
All the kids thought you were an elementary student, sure. Elementary age kids are 5 feet tall. Not middle schoolers because it wouldn’t fit your dramatics. |
I get ya! But, by the same token, the social group adds a lot too the self image. If he hangs out with bigger guys he could be like "What's up with me". A lot is made about girls and their self image, guys go through it too. While being small was bad, I felt horrible for the fat guys. They were relentlessly reminded of how fat they were |
NP here. I know a couple of 8th grade boys who are definitely under 5’. One has very short parents so genetics are not in his favor for height. He looks about 7 or 8 years old. It isn’t typical to be that short but I doubt PP is lying about being 5’ as a freshman. |
They didn't think so because I was in their school. You are just one of those tools who hangs around trying to get a reaction. You got one so congrats. Still doesn't change your Massengillish background. |
No I wasn't. I mean, I wouldn't do that. While I admit that there isn't anything I can REALLY do to help, I do think a parent may take solace in knowing others have been there and in male social groups size often dictates where you fall in the social hierarchy |
Okay, drama queen and your imagined wishful “knowledge” at your desperate attempt of a gotcha. |
No one said pp lied about his height as a freshman. The exaggeration about it being an elementary age trait was over the top. |
Is he on adhd medication? It can delay puberty. |
Trust me, the tall muscular idiots on the football team are doing alright for themselves. Even at a place like UVA |
My 21 year old is 6’1”+ and 140 lbs. so some kids age just doing to be leaner. He wishes he was built bigger but a string bean is what he is apparently. |
OP - asking again. There may not be much he can do about his height, but he can 100% be hitting the weights. In fact, a shorter range of motion can make it easier to build muscle. If he's worried about looking too young, he can pack on some muscle in the weight room. He'll have to set his ego aside for the first few months, since the other 15 year olds will be ahead of him in what weight he can move. But everyone starts with an empty bar. Plus, he'll experience "newbie gains" where he's noticeably getting stronger each week, which serves as motivation to continue. |
