Posting results on Instagram

I can attest that the current Langley Instagram is NOT reflective of all students. There are many great outcomes not yet posted. Just like OP, posters seem to be asking why. Why do the privates post their glory, but not the publics? Maybe this thread has some answers.

I remember this because many people on DCUM did not believe that so many kids could be going to Yale from a public high school. At some point, people started trolling and saying the number was 7 or 8 or even 9. My friend’s son graduated that year and said it was a very strong class.

In my experience kids think social media belongs to them, they cannot fathom an adult invading their spaces. I live somewhere on the west coast that is far less college-obsessed and I don’t think parents even know these instagram accounts exist.
