Fordham is so underrated

They might recruit but how many grads to they hire? Also when you say BigLaw, are you just talking AmLaw 100, 200, or like top 50? Because there are anymore Georgetown grads at the top 50 than GW, though GW is well represented in the AmLaw 200 generally.

It's kind of insane to insist they don't

It is not insane to point out the fact both Yale and Harvard no longer participate. They announced it publicly.

Involuntarily, USNWR rates them anyway.

If I publicly announce that I no longer participate in paying my income tax, does that mean it doesn’t exist or will the IRS involuntarily collect it anyway?

I think it depends on your risk tolerance. I participate in recruiting at my big law firm and we take GW grads who are at the top of the class. It’s not a free for all the way it is at T14 schools. My advice to law school applicants who really want big law for whatever reason is still to attend a T14 or don’t attend law school. It’s less risky and I am risk averse.

This person forgot to factor in that there are several ties. For example, there is a 4-way tie for 4th. Duke is NOT ranked higher that Harvard, they are TIED. Not sure how you mess that up.

Isn't this really 2023 rankings.

That was the one that surprised me. I get you probably have lots of opportunities in MN and perhaps the midwest...but are the large coastal firms actively recruiting?

I am frankly surprised by Minnesota, Georgia, and Wash U.

Michigan is once again impressive, but its tuition has gotten so high, especially for out-of-state students. Disappointing that it's matching Ivy League pricing, but I suppose it's because it "can."

Haha US News has had to update the rankings again because the embargoed list they sent out last week had mistakes for 80 schools, including 9 in the Top 50. What a debacle

It’s in a major metropolitan area. That’s what ultimately is determining the t14 or t20. If you’re in a top 15-20 metro area, then likely you’ll have enough infrastructure for a legal market. Why do you think William and Mary or Wisconsin struggles with their law schools? They are in a depopulated location.

My cousin had a choice btw GW law and Mason a few years ago, chose Mason. Thrilled to see it rise in ranks considerably as well as land AM law 100 job at 24!

I would put Stanford first, then Yale.

Stanford Law number 1? Isn’t that where San Bankman Fried’s parents are? They taught him well. They should be prosecuted as well.

Perhaps it’s because they weren’t ever considered great. There are plenty of law schools in highly populated areas that aren’t considered great as well.

A T14 school charging like other T14 schools. The horror!
