MOB dresses -- help me help my mom pick a dress for sister's wedding

Is the wedding in the DMV area, or further south?

If she's a rower, she probably has great arms, and is fit, right? Would she do something like this?

Here's another one-shouldered one that is really pretty:
https://www.neimanmarcus.com/p/rickie-freeman-for-teri-jon-pleated-one-shoulder-ruffle-column-gown-prod270740303?childItemId=NMT5PW9_&msid=4787127&navpath=cat000000_cat000001_cat43810733&page=1&position=3

Or this one which would need a wrap but I think it wouldn't be matronly:
https://www.neimanmarcus.com/p/rickie-freeman-for-teri-jon-pleated-one-shoulder-jacquard-mermaid-gown-prod271460128?childItemId=NMT5RE1_&msid=4797270&navpath=cat000000_cat000001_cat43810733&page=0&position=39

There are some really pretty strapless, but I'm assuming that's a no-go?

This one could be pretty:
https://www.neimanmarcus.com/p/rickie-freeman-for-teri-jon-off-shoulder-metallic-jacquard-gown-prod271720015?childItemId=NMT4CJ2_&msid=4464890&navpath=cat000000_cat000001_cat43810733&page=0&position=32

I love this one, and it's a fall color, but most women would probably think too bright for MOB:
https://www.neimanmarcus.com/p/lafayette-148-new-york-viscose-silk-asymmetric-cap-sleeve-dress-prod261890136?childItemId=NMT4TD4_&msid=4565451&navpath=cat000000_cat000001_cat43810733&page=0&position=77

I guess the asymetrical is really in this year, as I'm seeing a lot more really pretty one-shouldered dress, but she'd have to be pretty comfortable showing off that shoulder.

I'm about your mom's size, and I would get eaten up by those floral gowns. They are pretty, but I think they're too overwhelming for a petite woman.

I wasn't expecting to like the above dresses, but the more I looked at them, the more I thought your mom would look awesome in something like this.

Same PP who said the florals would be overwhelming. I do like this one! It's more tailored.

OP, you have great taste. Your original choices are better than most of what has been suggested to you by far.

I think your first and second choices are beautiful and the second one will be perfect if she doesn't want to wear sleeves.

Op, someone posted a dress from here above.

But look at the full site - lots of floor length and sheer sleeves options in tons of colors (although I don't see a floral option).

Her mother is 5’5. She is not petite, she is a tad over average height for a woman. If the dress is fitted right, she would not be overwhelmed and she isn’t 5 feet.

Why do all the models look so pissed off? Maybe they realize the dresses are awful?

Do you think we know? Why don’t you call the company and ask them?

I know, but she said she's a size 2. I am also 5'5" and a size 2, and I look AWFUL in big prints.

Agree that a smaller person is overwhelmed in big prints or too much fabric - I'm 5'5" and a size 4 and I have to be careful to not let the dress wear me.

OP, I was looking for something else, and saw this as a maybe for your mom, if she really wants floral forward!

It's really amazing at how vicious people can be in such an innocuous post.
