MOB dresses -- help me help my mom pick a dress for sister's wedding

Anonymous
My little sister is getting married in September and my mom asked me to help her find a dress. Evening wedding, vibe is romantic (no set colors). Mom wants her back covered and would like something floor length, but is agnostic on sleeves and neckline. She's on the small size -- about 5'5", probably a size 2, smaller bust. She does not want to look "matronly" but would also like to avoid anything overtly sexy. Goal is pretty, age appropriate (she's 68), reasonably comfortable. Thoughts on these or suggestions for others?

(might be too "spring" but this brand does tons of bridesmaids/MOB dresses so we could probably find in a more autumn color by this summer)

They are all very pretty!

I don’t like the second 2 for an older woman. The first is beautiful but I prefer it in the rose color for a wedding.

I love the first one in green but it may be too long and that style is difficult to hem well.

The 3rd seems a bit young but it may be the colors.

Can you say what reads as "young" to you? Is it that they are sleeveless? One thing we're trying to factor in is that September can go either way in terms of weather and it's an outdoor wedding, so it could be 60 degrees and chilly or it could be hot as hell. So we are thinking about doing something sleeveless (which my mom is fine with) but getting a wrap made in coordinating fabric just in case it's needed. Or alternatively something like the Mac Dougal where it has sleeves but they are sheer/lightweight.

Trying to avoid something with heavy sleeves so that my mom has some options and isn't just totally sweating through the night. Also, while she doesn't care, I feel like cap sleeves are the least flattering on her because she actually has really muscular arms (she's a rower).

only one I like is the second, the first is not great, the 3rd is too much like a bridesmaids dress. The neckline on 2 is low, but if she can pull it off it would be lovely

Just not the first one. That looks appropriate for 1920's uptight old ladies.

She is going to look swallowed up in those gowns. Do they have to be floor length?

She does like this style of bodice with the sheer sleeves and the lace, if we can find one with a full length skirt I think it would be a contender! That was kind of the idea with the Mac Douglas dress -- sheer sleeves, embellishment, full length. We just aren't sure about either color for this particular event.

These are all going to swallow a size two person.
The first one is my favorite of the ones you posted. The last one is really bad.

I wouldn’t wear sleeveless in September—it’s almost never that hot at night then—and a wrap will make most dresses look matronly.
