Truly gorgeous women don’t have it as easy as you think

We all age, go thru menopause, and lose our beauty. No, being beautiful is not the panacea to a perfect life, but it DOES afford one more opportunities and, let’s face it, the world is just *nicer* to you. It’s almost like being a minor celebrity, always being admired and complimented - the dopamine hits never stop. Until they do.

Then what? There are many former beauties that cannot accept this. They are grieving hard for what they have lost. It’s truly devastating for some.

The world is nicer to beautiful women unless it isn’t. You shouldn’t underestimate how many cruel, insecure women out there see beauties as their competition and undercut them at every chance they get. For the guy walking in front of a beauty going into the book store? Yeah, he’ll probably hold the door open for her faster than he would a homely woman. That seems to be the kind of “nice” you’re taking about.

+1 about how women behave towards them. I knew a stunning woman that other women would criticize or pick on b/c nobody looked at them when she was around. She just ignored them and went on to marry a famous musician and had the last laugh.

I hate to break it to you, but not everyone loses their beauty. I’m in my 30s and I do yoga with several gorgeous 70 something women. Obviously, 20 something men don’t see them as sex goddesses, but they are still very, very attractive. They haven’t been devastated by anything because they still turn the heads of men their age. Sorry!

My mother looks like she’s early 50s at 71 and she’s gorgeous - Maye Musk type. I’m 45 and my problem is that men who approach me in RL are too young:35-40. They think I’m mid 30s. I’m trying to find an older partner on OLD but there are very few good looking men over age 45 who still have hair, are over 5’10 and are fit.

Cry me a river. No pity here. No one gets to choose what they “get” or don’t.

I’ve never thought that beautiful women were thought of as intelligent, and they certainly are not the first choice for jobs. Most people assume they have coasted by in life and never had to develop their minds. Think dumb blond bimbo.

I’m not attractive, but have worked with attractive women. I haven’t seen them get an advantage in promotions.

I think we have to separate the outcomes of women who are beautiful AND put a ton of effort into being a glam instagram girl/stay at home girlfriend type versus a natural beauty along the lines of Gisele Bundchen (or insert your idea of a natural beauty.) High maintenance types make a job of exercising, sexy dressing, highlights, extensions, tanning, filler, etc. These women enjoy a lot of attention because it is important to them and they may attract shallow, jerk men. I do not buy the faux complaints of “I am constantly being hit upon”- let’s be real, you aren’t mouselike and dressed modestly, which is fine, just don’t pretend otherwise.

Yawn. I was a 5/10 in looks at my best and have not aged well. I am a 10/10 in intelligence and it is probably better than looks as it takes longer to fade, honestly.

Bit the reality is emotional and physical heath are where it is at. We should all be grateful for that as it is granted. Yes looks are *huge* but life is a complex thing. Too short to be spending on superficial envy honestly.

I sold my looks to an older workaholic jerk for a $5mm divorce settlement.

Yeah, she looks like a hot, beautiful, feminine man and Tom Brady looks like a hot, athletic, masculine woman.

Well, people kill for less than that.

I don’t complain sort of. Got a child out of it, too. But now divorced and emotionally spent. Don’t even want to date as I can’t even tell after each date if I liked the guy.

Well I don’t know. I just know that I would rather be pretty rather than average or ugly.

Tom looks exactly how I would imagine a gay Neanderthal shaved and dressed up in modern clothes to be.

And Gisele simply has to be biologically male. She identifies female, but that’s an XY person if I ever saw one.

Or have to turn to drugs and alcohol.
