Oscars fashion 2024

Agree that Lupita and Zendaya both looked fantastic. Didn't love Lupita's dress, but she rocked it. Agree also with PPs about America Ferrera and Danielle Brooks.

Not the most exciting choices, but I thought Kelly Ripa and Kirsten Dunst both looked great too. Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen are definitely the cutest couple. Love them so much.

Kind of hated Florence Pugh (she looked great, the clothes looked cheap) and the Annette Bening pantsuit.

Have no idea who this (Xochitl Gomez) is but she looks gorgeous and I love the dress

sorry, I can’t embed the image (I even went to the post reply page but can’t figure out how to use the IMG or URL to do it) but many thanks to the PP who did - so much nice to see the picture in the post and not have to click through. Oh well.

Agree, she looked great!

DM got it right: ozempic is the biggest winner. It's the end of "curvy", everyone was so slimmed down.

Yes, Jesse and Kirsten both definitely on it. Emily Blunt I don't think so, though. She's always been very thin.

Agreed. I think her boobs are too big for a dress like that. It made her look matronly.

Yes, she's too top-heavy for that dress, which doesn't flatter her chest at all. She looks oddly lopsided rather than sexy. And the color washes her out.

+1 She has an amazing figure, crazy she chose such an unflattering look.

I really wish Jennifer Lawrence didn't do whatever she did to her face. She doesn't look like herself anymore and that makes me sad.

I'm glad that Brendan Fraser is on it -- he definitely needed it. Jesse could be diet changes. My husband lost about 50 pounds very quickly by switching from typical American male diet of Coke/pizza/doritos/costco cookies to high-protein with no simple carbs. I could do the same thing and it wouldn't barely move the needle, but for him, he dropped so much weight so quickly people were asking me if he should be screened for cancer -- skinnier than when he was a competitive athlete. Men can lose quickly that way, especially if their baseline diet was not healthy.

The giant belt buckle on her bodice ruins it for me. Looks like she hiked her pants way up.

And her hair looks like a bad wig SNS

I know it’s harder for the men to be creative, but I thought Ryan Gosling stole the show (for the men). Although when you’re that handsome, it doesn’t take much!

Love Bening's jacket, but the tunic over the flowy pants didn't work even if that is the vibe (dress over pants) at the moment. Think tailored pants with mules could've done it, but perhaps she didn't want to wear heels.

Thank you PP for the Cut's link. LOVE Becky G. and Charlize's dresses. Want to love Emily and John - but Emily looks like she has a penis drawn on her dress?? John's color washes him out.

Do we just not care about men's fashion? I love him, I even like the colors, but this was not good.

I agree -- also love the Rock, but this looks like a wrinkled, poorly tailored mess. Good on him for trying to be different, but get a new stylist.

There were a lot of men that looked very good and not boring. I want to put on the record that I am not a fan of the "tux without a shirt under it" look -- I think it's just a lazy way to be creative in a not creative way. But Simon Liu is gorgeous so I'm not going to complain about him doing it.
