Possibly being counseled out of Georgetown Prep?

Most schools could care less about a grade in Theology. So I think this kid can go to any school if that’s what it is and thrive. Much ado about nothing

You may rank Landon and Bullis above Prep. But, neither Landon's 1929 founding date and Bullis' 1930, hold a candle to Prep's long standing 1789 connectivity and reach. Tell yourself whatever you need to, to help you sleep at night. But, Prep's reach is long and the name is well-respected nationally. I've seen it time and time again. Go to let's see.....California and mention Landon or Bullis, you absolutely and most likely will get a blank stare. Say GEORGETOWN PREP and people will say, "Oh yes!!!" This is mainly because most still link the school to Georgetown University. Like it or not, HOYA SAXA will always hold heavy weight!

When I went to Prep, classmates who left (voluntarily or involuntarily) transferred to Gonzaga, Bullis, Landon, and GC. It was long ago and many things have changed, but some things remain the same.

Georgetown prep is not the university.

Bullis is not below prep that’s absurd

Maybe an extra year at Mater Dei would've been the ideal solution?

Do you mean they have bumper stickers on like 75% of other parents?!?

OP, I agree with others, but it depends on the reason. But if it is only academic I would start with testing for LDs if this is a new issue. I would also look to a school that has a strong learning support program. SJC or DJO perhaps. It might be easier to get into the SJC benilde program as an upperclassman as some students don’t remain in the program all 4 years.

My understanding is they only admit to the Benilde program in 9th grade at SJC.

Such a turn off.
Did a tour and decided hard pass.

Sorry to hear this. Our neighbor attends. Plays sports. Most polite teen I know. Family is complete opposite of what your write.

Bullis is one of the easiest private HS to get into. That’s just well known in the private school community. Try them first if you get to get out and you need a place -Admin in private school.
