talk about prejudice

I read the marketing material shared in the OP’s link and found the story description boring. I’m not spending $30 on a boring story.

If the story is interesting, then the marketing writer should have done a better job with the copy.

As of now, the story sounds dull.

Funny. I know so many novelists whose work has been shopped around Hollywood and goes nowhere.

It says she’s on the PA and gala committee but not of which school

There is only one Quaker high school in DC: Thee Sidwell Friends School. According to the novel’s description, “Wesley Friends School is Washington, DC’s most prestigious prep school.” There’s ONLY ONE school that fits this description…

you're assuming the author has only been affiliated with one quaker school. could have attended one (not SFS) and then worked at or was a parent at SFS. it certainly narrows things down (a bit).

For those of us who are relatively new to this board, can you give a summary of the scandal and/or link to DCUM thread where this is discussed?

I'm black and politically center-right. I'm afraid that "DEI" and "woke" are becoming buzzwords among frustrated white parents that just want to dismiss every POC viewpoint.
