Novel based on Sidwell coming out in summer

There is now an Asian American Studies program, perhaps the first in the country for an independent school. Nowhere is perfect, but Sidwell has made a lot of progress, especially in the last 5 years

Try talking to the Asian families who had kids at the school during Covid and got called terrible things like “Wuhan” and “Ch*nk”

Give me a BREAK.

Anyone who thinks some S Asian Horizon reporter and an administrator actually know what they are talking about are delusional

I thought the book was entertaining - stop taking everything so seriously - pretty much every private school in DC has some of the characters depicted in the book though for entertainment value the book is probably a little more over the top

I checked it out from the library and read it. It does seem pretty familiar as the parent of a recent grad, but am surprised a publisher thought this would be a book worth investing resources in as it was pretty boring. anyone know how many books have been sold?

Not many.

But the real question is: how many would have sold if this typo-laden resentful mess had not rode in on the Sidwell horse?

Even fewer copies than she sold. That’s the main reason this book features Sidwell, and not Maret.

Sidwell drama never ends

I don’t know. This doesn’t sound like Sidwell drama, but “Emma”-drama.

Sidwell is certainly a source of fascination

Sidwell won again, and it isn’t even in the fight. That must hurt. This woman is a joke.
