Absolutely disagree. The few supporters Allen and Nadeau have won't be enough in special elections. The up/down aspect in the referendum will kill them. Then we can vote for better candidates! |
if the anti-Nadeau pot shop is an issue, expect ABCA's Moosely and DCLP's Crow to find ways to ignore the issue. |
| Nadeau has been a fake and phony from day one. Took money from developers and sold us out. This is only a paycheck for her. |
Who are those better candidates? |
If you recall them, you don't get better candidates. You actually need better candidates. Those candidates also need to be better than those you just recalled. Because they get to run in any special elections, meaning that you might recall Nadeau or Allen (unlikely on both!), but then they can just win in the new election (https://ballotpedia.org/Laws_governing_recall_in_the_District_of_Columbia). What a colossal waste of money and time that would be... though that's probably the point of all this, like the "filibuster." |
TBD, but I think that Hank Thomas guy would be great. |
An empty chair is better. |
Agree. |
It sends a message..instead of doubling down perhaps they should inquire into the source of constituents dissatisfaction? And address it if they are capable of some level of reflection? |
|
Who will sit on the council?
Not Allen and not Nadeau. That’s all I care about. |
| Empty chairs would do much less harm |

Nadeau who has been in office since 2015 says public safety is her top priority.
"I work closely with the police and all of our police commanders and made significant investments in homeless services and support for substance abuse disorders," she added. SINCE 2015?! Enough already. Also stop lying all the time. |
|
“Brianne's record on crime and public safety is abysmal. While crime soared, she voted to defund the police and reduce penalties on violent criminals. Nobody can point to a single thing she has accomplished to meaningfully make Washingtonians more safe, and that is why we have launched this effort to remove her from office."
A closer look into police data in Ward 1 shows that last year crime rose by 33% compared to 2022. During the same period, homicides doubled with 28 killings. |

Just go to U St NW as the weather gets nice and watch the ATVs wilding. No one can sleep for several blocks either side of the street but Nadeau told us to soundproof our houses.
Out! |
