Her staff is also awful.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

This is a sh*tty analysis as it compares a very short timeframe of YTD 2024 (roughly one month) during the slowest time of the year and doesn't include the sample size of number of homes sold which is small depending on the area. It also doesn't trend the percent over time so you don't know what the baseline usual rate is for homes to drop prices, especially in January. U St amounts to 11 homes or less sold in total in 2024 thus far as of today per Redfin (and possibly less than that depending in the timeframe covered in this analysis). Of course the percents are magnified when the sample size is low.

Is there a trend of falling prices due to crime or is it more related to very high mortgage rates or is it related to people moving to burbs because of work from home scenarios that didn't exist before the pandemic and are now permanent? Important questions to ask, but this poorly constructed analysis doesn't answer them.

At least she bought a home in the area whose values she's crushing. Poetic justice? Sorry for everyone else who is going to have to fix what she has wrought--agree she must go.

All her supporters are panicking because they’ve already spent their allowances in Hamas related charities.

You know what else is sh*tty?

Nadeau’s record

This is a lie re: Charles Allen, the donors are available. Heavily funded by Ds in Ward 6.

Numbers on Nadeau not out yet.

A real estate focused blog focusing on recent real estate trend is "a sh*tty analysis?" Are you high?

What is that saying? "Reality bites."

Indifferent to crime stats but real estate data triggers rage?

There is a reason the criminals repeatedly flee to DC. It's due to the ways the Council has hampered police from doing their jobs, an AG and USA who do not prosecute, and judges who are still acting out their glory days as public defenders.

Enough.

A D.C. Council candidate who has portrayed herself as a straight-and-narrow outsider solicited and received special consideration from city officials for an interest-free home loan to buy her Northwest Washington condominium, according to a complaint filed by her opponent, Ward 1 incumbent Jim Graham.
Brianne Nadeau (D), a public relations consultant, denied that she did anything wrong.

This WaPo article is illuminating:
- As ANC commissioner she pushes council members to do what they can to bend the rules of the program for her to give her much larger amount of money than she’s entitled to
- She sees nothing wrong with this and taking that money away from the others in need
- Her earning potential was $50k before her Council job tripled and some that

That’s why these guys aren’t listening to the constituents - it’s all about giving the loudmouths in the primary what they want and riding the gravy train ideally life long

Exactly this.

The article notes numbers are up from same time frame last year, and that AU Park and Chevy Chase DC do not appear to have lowered prices. So, that sheds light on your theories 2 and 3. Will be interesting to see what spring market looks like. If similar, could really start to snowball.

I hope the ship can be righted in DC. Will take change of leadership and embracing of core missions of government, imo.

I see her car parked illegally at least once a week, which is pretty galling from someone who demands that everyone else either ride a bike or take public transit.

True

I’ve never seen where exactly she is parking, but technically council members are exempt from parking rules if on official business, with some exceptions. So we may not like it, but it may not be illegal for her to do so.

Sorry, illegal is your measure? It’s showing lack of any values and it’s not illegal but it’s illegitimate and just plain wrong.

When people show you who they are believe them. Better believe Nadeau is in it for herself her paycheck and her perks

No, accuracy is. PP said she was parking illegally when she may not in fact be parking illegally. That’s all I was pointing out.

This won’t go anywhere. Worthless campaign from Brianne haters.

Well, Silverman is gone, having to actually WORK for a living and commute to Baltimore, and reduced to impotently calling people discussing crime facts "MAGA" on X. How far they fall. Even Racine's vids from his bathroom could not save her...

Let’s not forget about the normal majority who couldn’t bother with you clowns up until now

Disbanding the council is better than having you on it

Watch the citizens go
