I have celiac and assume I need to bring my own food. I’m not at all offended if only non-GF is offered. If you have 1 GF option, that is great and I’m appreciative. I would feel weird about making the whole group go GF just for me.

There seems to be a disconnect with people who have a gluten intolerance or choose to be gluten free because it upsets their digestions versus celiacs disease. If you have celiacs disease you cannot have even traces of gluten. Lots of things are cross contaminated and can make people very sick.

Agree with this. I don't think one GF option is difficult and there are a lot of great options, and it's a nice gesture even if the individual who can't handle gluten doesn't partake. I would just say don't do something like gluten free cupcakes from trader joes, do something that is naturally gluten free like edamame or bags of popcorn.

MSG does not have gluten in it. Why do you say this? Is it because "glutamate" sounds like gluten or do you have the same reaction to MSG that gluten gives you (or someone you know)? I am sorting out a gluten intolerance (or celiac, not sure which) and I think I react poorly to MSG as well as gluten but I'm not sure.

As someone who is allergic to gluten, I prefer to bring my own food to eat or a snack I know is gluten free. Most people aren't very accurate when deciding what is gluten free.

I am not that pp, but many sauces have gluten in them. I buy a special soy sauce for myself which doesn't have gluten. Was really surprised at how many premade sauces and dressings have gluten when I had to start being careful.

Gluten free people and vegetarians are a PIA. Bring the foods you like, let them worry about what's in it and what they will eat. Hardly anyone who claims they need a gluten free diet really has a condition where that matters.

Gluten free brings her own gluten free food. In her house, she provides gluten free but no one else has to bring gluten free. The gluten free people are becoming as annoying as the "no shoes
in the house" people.

How long are your meetings? I'm tired of having to contribute snacks for meetings that are less than 3 hours long.
