12 year-old wants a tattoo

Anonymous
OP reminds me of a friend of mine who lets her daughter pretty much do whatever she wants. Have a boyfriend, smoke week, kiss, roam around town by herself. When I tell her that I would not let my son who is the exact same age not do half the shit or talk to me the way her daughter talks to her, she tells me that I just don't get it and that girls are SOOOO different. To which I reply "yes, I actually parent my child. Maybe you should try that too."

lolll if this isn't a troll, there is no way any reputable tattoo artist would tattoo a 12-year old, regardless of parental consent. (and I have 4 tattoos myself...)

Any tattoo artist who would work on a 12 year old isn’t someone you want doing the tattoo.

They make really good temporary ones. Go that route.

Get her a semi-permanant tattoo that can last up to 2 weeks. You can't be for real with a real one for a 12 year old child.

OP is hilarious.

I'm a pretty permissive chill parent but this is a hard no even for me. Just trashy.

But she has been fixated for the last few weeks on getting a tattoo. She’s researched it, and knows what she wants and where (butterfly, on her ankle).

She checked around and has saved up more than enough of her allowance to pay for it. And it wouldn’t be so noticeable to be a possible employment issue down the road; easily covered up.

But I’m just not sure. Bad idea? Good? Why or why not.

TIA !

There is no way I would approve of this for my 12 year old and that’s just me. I’ve not read other comments so I don’t know what the majority think. I want a million dollars and a pony with pink hair and it doesn’t mean I’m gonna get it.

My DD is serious. She keeps bring it up.

I keep wondering who these boundary-less people are on here. Get some balls and walls.

"few discipline issues"? So she's had discipline issues at only 12 years old???

No respectable tattoo artist is going to work on a 12 year old.

Get her a henna kit and tell her to chill.

"discipline issues in school" What does that even mean?

It means she's a problem.

Who cares? Tell her no.

+1

Love it! Do it Mom, let her do it. She's 12. She knows everything at this age. She's going to college. Sure why not? She is a good kid.

Let her do it .... said no one ever. Are you an idiot or just a stupid troll wanting reactions?
