Relationship Discussion (non-explicit)
| He performed minor plastic surgery on my back. |
| At a party when we were both dating other people - remained in the same close core group for years but eventually everyone moved away or moved on - a few years later we met again realizing we were in the same city (almost- Baltimore and DC). We got together a few times but again both dating others at the time. Ffinally after knowing each other for 7 years we were both single (enough) and one thing sort of led to another....8 years later we are married with 3 kids! |
| He was living (platonically) with one of my best friends from college in a group house. |
Initially via match.com (and we admit it ), but goddam it, he was such a good writer and so funny that we met in person like 24 hours later at a bar on Monday night, the only ones there, and well, we departed with him saying, "So, how about we get together again very soon? I'll call you tomorrow if that's okay!" What can I say, he knows how to close a deal.
Got engaged 9 months later, married 9 months after that and now pregnant with #2. Very, very happy to have found a great partner for me (I can be a tough, maybe even annoying, nut), even with all the usual marital this-and-that. He's very good at being a spouse. Totally reliable, 99% honest (except that part about "I swear I did not use the last shred of toilet paper" -- let the record state that when the roll hangs empty, it is my husband's fault), and never have any doubts about his level of commitment. Good father, too. |

| I was a bartender at a college bar, he was the night manager who had just graduated from same college I was still finishing up. I was dating someone, so was he. As soon as they broke up, I swooped in. I called the guy I was dating two nights later and broke the news. That was 10 years ago. We are expecting our second kid now. |

Match.com initially. And then we realized we knew people in common, etc. We were engaged in 3 months, married in 15 months, and we now have a DD, almost five years later.
He is the perfect foil for my hard charging, domineering (but soft centered) personality. And he's a terrific partner, my best friend, and a wonderful daddy. I feel so lucky to have him as a husband. Our worst day together is better than my best day with some of the other men I dated. |
