How would they even know? |
How would you know? |
Exactly. SR is a wonderful school and more in line with the teachings of the current Pope and not his enemies. |
I'm a parent there who is Catholic. I send my child there for all the reasons anyone would send their child to a single sex school that included a values component. Whether it is Catholic, Quaker, or Buddhist is frankly immaterial to me--I seek for my child to have a non-fundamentalist, moral compass around right/wrong and being a decent human that is affirmed at school. We can do the rest at home including living as Catholics. I have not watched the video. I don't believe in entrapment or doxxing. I don't have any firsthand experience via my child of anything untoward. This is a complicated situation and I hope it is treated with nuance and human decency. As a Catholic, that is a huge part of my faith. What would Jesus do? He would lead by example, and he would pity us I think. What a world. |
| As a Stone Ridge parent, I found this news very disturbing. I do hope I am not alone here. My daughter is in the upper school and never had any interaction with this teacher, however, his derogatory remarks about the Catholic Church are quite disturbing and not appropriate for a leader in the school. He should be fired immediately. |
Please add sources to your news diet that are not, in the main, clueless journalists wishcasting to an audience that wants to be told things that comport solely with their beliefs. |
| He seems like a really caring teacher and I’m sure this was taken out of context. Hope the school stands by him. Would be Stone Ridge’s loss. |
Agreed x1,000 |
Um, there are men administrators and teachers who would need to use the bathroom. Students are not allowed to use the men's room as much as you would like to believe that. |
What would Jesus do? Probably not support the Catholic Church for one |
| No one really cares about this. |
Disagree x 1000 |
Nice job bumping the thread with your disagreement lol. |
If the school is partly funded by the archdiocese then that’s unacceptable. If it’s independent they can do whatever. But don’t call yourself catholic. I’d doubt anyone at the school would even care if it became secular though. |
| Can’t sr just become independent? Why stay affiliated w/ Catholics? |
