TV Series you weren’t sure about but ended up loving and would watch again

I put off watching Succession because I had zero interest in watching a squabbling super rich family and their business dealings.

It is some of the best television I’ve ever watched. Maybe the best.

I loved Schitt's Creek from the beginning but it did just get better and better over time. When Patrick came into the scene it was just over the top amazing.

But I lol'ed at the very first line... when the housekeeper opens the door and says, "Immigration?" and the enforcement people say "IRS". So frigging funny.

I just skimmed the thread but did anyone mention Brooklyn 99? So, so good.

So overlooked. Loved it.

Parks and Rec. It's only good once Rob Lowe and Adam Scott show up at the end of season 2, but then it gets good.

Battlestar Galactica reboot. I generally do not like scifi but this one had so much social commentary and interesting character development that it drew me in despite the space ships. I think it would be an even more interesting rewatch now that AI has progressed even further.

I never got into this show. It was oddly sterile to me.

Yes! I didn't know anything about this show when I watched it. I thought it was a reality show about improving some family restaurant lol. The character development is fantastic.

Same experience with The Bear. Most amazing series I’ve seen in a very long time. Truly stellar.

Yay! I remember watching reruns of the original when I was a kid, and was so very excited when the reboot was announced. They started with the miniseries, which was AMAZING! It didn’t hurt that there were several very attractive men on the show, so that made it even better.

I really need to rewatch it now.

So say we all

Deadloch on Amazon. Sort of a Northern Exposure meets Twin Peaks.
