But that is exactly the point - most of us did NOT get raises! It sucks. |
NP. Yeah, my hairdresser is a millionaire many times over. Not everyone is a Hair Cuttery stylist. |
| 20% plus $5 to the shampoo person. But if they don’t massage my scalp at all during the shampoo, then I feel pissed off. |
| When I get full color (just regular color, no highlights), cut, and style, it’s $155 and I tip $35. The one time I got highlights and color it was over $200 and took for damn ever so I’m not doing that again! |
| I tip 20% plus $5 to the shampoo girl. I get root color every 5 weeks and a cut every 6-8 months so not tipping for color would be strange. |
| I tip 35%, but I really like my stylist! |
But how much do they gouge you for service?? |
| 20 to 25% of the total |
| plus I separately tip the woman who shampoos my hair |
| My stylist owns her own business. I don't tip her, but I always bring a starbucks. |
| I tip 20% of total cost ( cut, color, highlights, etc) and then $15 to shampoo person bc I get a glaze and it’s multiple steps. It is expensive but I’ve been going to same stylist for almost 20 years and I really appreciate her. It’s not a hardship for me but can appreciate the cost is significant. |
Where are you getting roots done that cheaply - Either place |
$500ish for me. I add $80 Sucks but my hair looks great and the keratin (I do cezanne, actually), only has to happen 1x to 2x per year. I do color and in the spring / summer add in half head of highlights. |
| I think there are quite a few hair stylists among these posters. These tips are crazy high |
| I don’t tip. I tip the woman who washes my hair. $10. |
