Now let's analyze why she decided to run again. Could it be no one else is running? No one wants this full time in work part time on paper low pay job.

I don't think anyone else not running is why she wants to run again. She either enjoys the work or she doesn't. Especially since, as you point out, there's not a financial incentive to doing it.

Seems like there is a financial incentive, at least for Wolff. Where did the funds to pay for her $1,800 day at the Wellness Spa or her $800 meal at Azucar?

Hasn't Smondroeski been on the board for 12+ years? No one running against her as of now. What about Wolff hasn't she also been around for a long time?!

Ugh. She's an equity lunatic.

None of the incumbents have filed yet.

Candidate filing ends Tuesday, February 09, 2024, at 9:00 p.m.

Are there any incumbents worth voting for?
Smondrowski is the one voice of reason and sanity on the BOE.

While she's reasonable, she's not forceful enough to matter.

Correct. And she doesn’t have enough questions or things for followup. I like that Yang, Rivera-Oven and Harris always have questions, clarifications, or points for the teams to take back and followup about. I wish Shebra Evans would come off.

Agree with all this.

Then let's get her some help by electing normal, sane (not far-left) candidates.

Someone named Melissa Kim has filed today for the At Large seat. Anyone know which Melissa Kim it is? Someone by that name was a former DCPS deputy chancellor, but I don't know if it's her.

I was really bummed that Coll wasn’t elected last year, she would have been great.

Hopefully there will be a good challenger to Evans.

Does that mean she's the former DCPS person?

Coll should run at large

If this is her, she would be a big no since her workplace abuse cloud is precisely what we're trying to get away from with McKnight.

Will she though? Would mean another race vs. an incumbent, which is tough.

That is a long time. We need limits.
