Do you sleep with socks on or off?

I am not worried about foot germs, but I do tend to have cold toes even when the rest of me is comfortable, and other things being equal I prefer to sleep in a cooler room. I have a couple pair of very loose soft wool socks specifically for sleeping in when it's cold. They're not confining at all.

DH and I both bundle up for bed: Flannel pjs and fleeces. I wear socks, he doesn’t. Our young adult kids both sleep naked. They were literal “hot boxes” when they were little so I’m assume that’s how it started.

Try showering

Off. DH doubles as a foot warmer

On, but sometimes I take them off in the middle of the night. Then I inevitably want them back on in the morning.

Before my husband died, I’d put socks on to fall asleep and he’d take them off me when he got in bed because I’d wake up in the night otherwise. Since he died, I put a heating pad at the foot of the bed and turn it on for 2 hours. I fall right to sleep and it shuts off before I get too warm.

Wow you’re lucky. My husband thinks if I wear anything to bed our marriage is dead. I have to be naked.

I’m a sock person 16 hours of the day- summer or winter, I hate bare feet- but I just can’t wear them when I’m sleeping.
Not to hijack the thread but I really enjoyed sleeping naked long ago but I kept having dreams about being naked in public/ not having a shirt on while giving a presentation so I had to go back to wearing pajamas!

Winter, socks - my feet are always freezing! Summer, sockless

That’s really sweet. I’m sorry for your loss.

Ditto - though not always do I wear to bed - cooler weather thing (cold wood floors)

In summer, no, in winter, always.

I'm always cold but my DH and kids are always hot, so we have to keep the house cool. That means I layer up. I wear pj pants to bed year round, with a t shirt in summer and with a long sleeved shirt and fleece pullover in winter!

Fall, winter, spring start with socks on and after a few minutes, push them down so only my arch and toes are covered by the socks - my ankle and heel are uncovered.
Summer - no socks.
