If you ask your house cleaner to skip a visit, do you still pay?

No, I pay per visit. That said on the rare occasion where I do cancel it's with advanced notice. This year I canceled twice, once was because we were going to be away for our summer vacation. i told her in advance. The other was when I went to visit my mom across the country. We were gone that week. I gave her the option of coming the day after we returned, she chose to skip that cleaning.
