Heat pumps are much more energy efficient and just as comfortable if not more so (less dry air.)

Any recommendations for dual fuel Daikin installers in the DC area? I’ve found that a lot of HVAC companies seem to be tied to legacy manufacturers and won’t install Daikin.

Unfortunately Daiken/ Goodman residential products are installed by 1: Large contractors doing tract homes; 2. Guys doing side work or small fly by night contractors. There's not a whole lot of in-between which is unfortunate as they have come a long way from the total crap they used to sell. I dabbled with trying to install it when we where having issues getting Trane/ Carrier equipment but it was a tough sell.

Should be 7-8k you can estimate that materials here at $2800 https://hvacdirect.com/2-5-ton-14-seer-80-afue-88-000-btu-airquest-gas-furnace-and-air-conditioner-system-upflow-downflow-id79266.html

Make sure to have the contractor show you their materials breakdown so they don't rip you off, they shouldnnt charge more than the cost of materials

$15,000 in a 1470 ft condo, but I got 3 estimates (and needed to rent a crane for 1k).
