high quality place for ear piercing (NOT claire's at the mall)

It doesn't have to be Craig Pokes U, any reputable piercing parlor or tattoo shop that has a licensed piercer on staff will be fine. Call them ahead of time to ask what the best time to come in with a child would be. Obviously something like 9am would be better than 7pm - it won't be as crowded.

How much?

Omg the drama! . Only in Arl can you make something as simple as ear piercing require some over priced experience.

Just go to Claire’s for goodness sakes. Just go at a non busy time and get an adult to do it. You can check placement yourself and they will use a piercing gun and there is nothing wrong with it and it’s not inferior. I had mine done multiple times with a piercing gun so had my DD. No infections. No issues.

And just go to the store buy some lidocaine cream and tell your DD you got it straight from the doctor and it’s going to numb the pain etc and so on.

We went to a tattoo and piercing shop. As someone who has misaligned piercings from the 1980s done by a teenager working at the mall, I wanted to take DD to a professional to hopefully get a better result. 🙂 It was really expensive, but easy and pain-free and looks great.

We did not have a great experience at Craigs… and it was really expensive for what was a crooked piercing and the person doing it was kind of rude.

We got it redone at piercing pagoda in fair oaks mall and it was easy and much cheaper. No numbing cream

Has anyone had experiences with Louisa's? There's one in Fair Oaks mall and the said they do all of the piercings on the ear, as well as the nose.

Yes, Crystal Geller. She comes to you.

Another vote for Craig Pokes U. We first did it with Claire's and the holes were uneven and too close to the bottom of the lobes and were somehow too big and swallowed the backs of the earrings. It was miserable for DD. After those holes closed and healed, we went to Craig Pokes U and it was so much better.

My friend owns aspen jewelry design at the clock tower in Herndon. He pierces ears all the time. Ask for Kurt.

Pricey jewelry but great piercers

Was not impressed. DD had uneven placement. Should’ve just used the guns.

We had a terrible customer service experience here. Can’t speak to the actual piercing because we left before it got to that (ended up at Bethesda tattoo, which was fantastic). My impression was that they’ve garnered a name for themselves in the business and are taking full advantage by charging outrageous prices and acting like they are more important than their clients.

PP here. After reading through all 4 pages of responses it almost seems like someone from Craig Pokes U is posting on here.

We did Craig Pokes you and my daughter's holes are not properly placed. They marked her ears and I told them to move the marks which they did. However, they pierced in the original spot which was not centered. I would not go back especially given how much it cost.

Try Studs in Georgetown. Highly recommended.

How much did it cost? No one has been able to say.

It depends on the cost of the earrings, which vary wildly.

DD went to Brilliance (when they still did kids younger than 13). The piercing was $70 but we got fancy titanium earrings and it was over $200, maybe close to $300, total at the end.
