This is my fave. And I’ll add Just Friends though I used to like Ryan Reynolds a lot more.

Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas

I love the muppet world that's created alongside the poignant Paul Williams music and lyrics. The holidays are bittersweet for me and this move always fits the mood.

Underrated and a great lark especially if you were in New York in the 80s or 90s or wished you were.

"Diner" is another one set that week.

Of course! That’s a brilliant recommendation and would be a fun double feature.

I forgot about that movie! What a fun one. I wish they still made movies like this for the big screen and not just the Hallmark Channel.

it was so underrated. Both sensational actors.

And White Christmas for the music and the genius of Vera Ellen dancing.

Do you mean National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation? That was in my posting on page 1

Sorry, missed it.

Grinch (the original one)
Polar Express

My kids just can't get enough of all the Grinches. The old one though is just perfect! DH and I do an animated reading of the Grinch for our family on Christmas Eve right after "Twas the night before Christmas". The book is amazing.

Scrooged is excellent!

Good holiday movies that I watch every year - Scrooged, Die Hard, Home Alone, Elf, Miracle on 34th St, Grinch (original)

Bad holiday movies that I watch most years - Love Actually, Family Stone

I was late to the party but mentioned a page back that Trading Places is one of my all time fave holiday movies (and I’m religious).

We have added the recent The Holdovers to our holiday movie staple list as it was so good.

National Lampoon’s Christmas is OK but hasn’t aged as well as Trading Places for biting comedy.

I hate the holiday rom coms although I don’t mind the genre in general.

Lots of good kids holiday movies
Klaus (our teen still loves and appreciates the animation)
Home Alone
Elf
Charlie Brown Christmas
Nightmare before Christmas

Plan on checking out Scrooged and other holiday movies this year …
