So many bad holiday movies out there-predictable plots, flat characters, etc.
What are some good ones? I like: The Holiday Boxing Day Home Alone Nightmare Before Christmas Elf Happiest Season Muppet Christmas Carol |
| Die Hard |
I was coming on to say this. Also Silent Night, Deadly Night. And Krampus. |
| Bad Santa |

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
Four Christmases |
| Mixed Nuts |
|
Planes, trains and automobiles
And for some reason, I tend to think of Little Women as a holiday movie. |
| White Christmas |
|
Miracle on 34th Street
It’s a Wonderful Life Muppet Christmas Carol |
|
Meet Me in St. Louis
Little Women (the Claire Danes version or the Margaret O’Brien version) The early Harry Potter movies that have Christmas scenes Not sure these are Christmas movies but we always watch them at Christmas: The Best Years of Our Lives A Journey for Margaret (My dad was older and loved Margaret O’Brien, can you tell?) |

Metropolitan- it’s the only movie I can think of set during that strange week between Christmas and New Year’s.
Underrated and a great lark especially if you were in New York in the 80s or 90s or wished you were. |
Proof it is a Christmas movie! |
| While You Were Sleeping |
| The Family Stone |
| Christmas Story |
