This. Also different shoes if sprinter vs long distance vs jumper. The “dress like the minority mob” thing should have phased out in middle school. |
And great for hurdling and for wide feet |
I loved the pretty colors of Hoka but on actual feet they are not attractive. Nike Invincible running shoes look like a solid running shoe. I have to find one for walking city streets |
Ask the coach. |
My 15 yo son only wears Brooks. He gets fitted at a running store and always ends up with Brooks ever time since he says they are the most comfortable for him. |
| 22:06 again. He gets fitted at Potomac River a running. |
| Have her fitted at a running store. DS does cross country and has changed brands as his feet grows, currently he's in New Balance. But it's all about the feel and nothing about the look (unless you are a sprinter going for the Olympics). He will often try 10-15 pairs of shoes on at the store before finding what works best. |
| I think at least half the female Georgetown students are wearing Hokas these days. Not sure if that translates into teen fashion. |
They are making quality running shoes which is making them popular. |
My teenage son wears Brooks too. |
| OP here. I didn't realize this thread was still going... we are going to take her to get fitted this weekend, she said she needs spikes and running shoes. But maybe I will get her a pair of Hokas for a xmas gift but not for track. |
My HS XC and track runner also wears brooks. We had her fitted and a gait assessment done etc at a running store, twice and brooks were it. She has fairly flat feet and these, with orthotics, work best. One size def doesn’t fit all and def don’t go with “what everyone else has” or you’re asking for an injury! |
Yep. My son does track, runs in Brooks and his spikes are Nikes. |
