I am somewhat baffled that anyone is making the point that there is a nuance between "invading a former Soviet Union satellite country" versus "restoring the USSR"? That's like saying the difference between Hitler invading Poland versus Western Europe - it's a matter of time and scale. This is the type of clown distinction a Russian propagandist would make that no one in the West would understand anyway?
