PP and I’d say she received a promotion! From an ES to Herndon HS AP! Nice!

Could someone please actually post who the new FCPS coordinator of library services is? Can it be true that this person is not actually an experienced and licensed school librarian?!!!! If so, what an appalling step down from Priscille Dando, who may have been the most capable and extraordinarily talented person in instructional services overall. |
The current Superintendent, Michelle Reid, was previously employed in Washington State, not from within FCPS. She is terrible though, and she is taking FCPS in all the wrong directions, such as her “restorative justice” push, dismantling AAP, neglecting Dranesville, etc. |
People have posted her previous school. Google is your friend. |
What school was that? |
She was a librarian before becoming an administrator. |
She’s been moved from school to school pretty much every two years since the incident. Don’t know if that’s willingly or by choice. |
Yes, but it is the same in all school districts. The losers keep getting promoted up the chain and eventually they get a superintendent position. How FCPS got Reid. This lady will be a superintendent at another school system some day. |

Has this taken effect yet? |
What? Oh wow. That is crazy! |
This situation takes on even more interesting meaning after seeing the WTOP “fleeing principals” article today. |
The principals interviewed there were not in trouble like the ones mentioned here. |
They were anonymous so who knows. Of course, we can guess who “she” was among the three who were interviewed. |
Which successful principals chose to leave FCPS? Did the majority go to over districts, or what happened to them? It would be interesting to see where they landed, and to understand why they left. It doesn’t seem like a big challenge if the district wanted to have real data about what caused them to go. |
