I know right? No one even just roots for a team because their Dad and Grandpa liked that team. It's only original fandom or DIE!

But before anyone dies, CTE

Football is not worth defending

I don't think any of these Swift fans watching are actually expanding the NFL fan base. They are only watching to catch glimpses of Swift and her friends. It is more like Beatlemania. They have no interest in football and when they break up, they will never watch an NFL game again. They are obsessed with a pop star, not a sport.

I don’t think they’re breaking up. He’s everything she has never had in a man.

Good grief, so, soooooooooo much bombardment with Swift dancing in her miniskirt at the latest game, and nonstop stories of her gasping and covering her face when Kelce got tackled. First off, Swift is a self reported Eagles fan, yet she is a phony supporting the Chiefs. Do we need to be constantly inundated with the nachos and outfits she wears to games? How biased will the NFL be to make sure the Chiefs don’t suck to ensure there is maximum viewership and apparel sales driven Swift zombies?

Swift is a cancer on the sport. She needs to go away.

You seem very triggered by this and it really shouldn't matter this much to you.

Maybe time to go touch grass.

A few glimpses here and there. They often show Brittney Mahomes during games, too, so they got a two-for-one yesterday. Who the hell cares? The pictures of her with Bernie Kosar were bizarre!! (Lifelong Browns fan here. I know. Feel sorry me...)

I thought the Sunday Night Game against the Jets (I think?) was pretty bad in terms of bring her up constantly and shout outs to the Swift fans. The game yesterday didn't seem that bad in comparison. This too shall pass.

In PP's world, a group that shares and interest is a mindless flock of sheep. True individuals like PP only have contrarian opinions to be expressed on DCUM.

Yes, I have two teen girls. Both love Swift’s music but don’t stalk and follow her every move. Neither have watched a chiefs game.

Well, yeah, because she brought all of her celebrity friends!

What? Seems to me that you should be embarrassed that you are tearing a person down that you do not even know. She is watching the game, and you are watching....her? How sad and pathetic for you.

Fair. But they did that whole pre-recorded thing with the people from the Voice to "explain football to Swifties" or something and it made my inner teenager cringe in embarrassment.

I finally learned what a “down” is. Someone shared a definition in plain English and that made sense.

My family went to college football games and we also went to see the Redskins (as they were called back then), but I never knew what was happening.

But I think the games are too long, and the commentator voices make me sleepy.
