Schools matter, obviously - you're not going to learn as much in Physics 101 at Podunk U than at MIT - but there are students who spend 3 hours studying for each class, do the optional problem sets, or rewrite their papers multiple times, and those who do the bare minimum to get a B-. Someone who works very hard at a 50th ranked school will learn a lot more than someone who just wants to pass at a 5th ranked school. |
