It's not that difficult to follow someone. |
Bet he died by suicide already. |
It is likely that this guy would’ve been denied a carry permit based on history. In any event there is no indication in the coverage that he carried the firearm lawfully and he certainly did not use it lawfully. Blaming this individual’s alleged action on a firearm also ignores that he had a several thousand pound deadly weapon that he was riding in. |
And he's a tax cheat! Who'dve thought it. |
Took long enough for the usually DCUM misandry to show up. Yes, if a person is from group X, then all people from group X must be bad. |
A different article says he had a firearm registered to his name. |
The right to have a gun is not specific to men. |
Well he’s from Argentina and Machismo culture is Argentinian culture, so it’s no surprise he has a domestic violence rap-sheet a mile long. |
True. But there is one very noticeable physical characteristic that 98% of abusers share. |
+1. Family annihilators and mass shooters share the same characteristic. |
I don’t know if this is the cause , but I do know that they commit higher number felonies than other immigrant groups. The guy’s name is, Pedro Argote. |
Congress passed legislation to do this for federal judges since a man Judge Esther Salas ruled against came to her house and murdered her son. Not sure if Maryland or any other states have done anything similar. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/judge-esther-salas-law-son-killed-gunman-target-rcna62637 |
Not that short, he’s 5’7 according to CNN |
23% of women report commiting intimate partner violence. This is similar to the numbers for men, but even if every man in the country was an abuser, they wouldn't be 98%. |
“A firearm registered in his name” means he was the lawful owner of one. He had been ordered to surrender all firearms. That order was later withdrawn. If he had already complied he’d have had to go through the same process to get it back as when originally purchased from a dealer. In any event, lawful ownership of a firearm does not (at least in Maryland) authorize a person to carry it, other than unloaded and cased to the range, repair shop, place of surrender. To lawfully carry a handgun in Maryland a person must have a wear and carry permit, issued (completely separately from the license required to buy a handgun) only after completion of a state-mandated training course, a range qualification, fingerprinting, photographs, and a comprehensive background check, not to mention a significant processing delay. A domestic violence history could have resulted in denial of a permit. So I’m not sure what the point is. Even if he had a carry permit he certainly had no right to misuse a firearm to commit murder. And the Mercedes Benz he is linked to certainly is as deadly as a firearm if misused. |
