| I would do Sundaes with a fat free sorbet or froyo option, and include fat free toppings like sprinkles and gummy bears and jam among the options. |
DP but how does this not add value? The obvious answer is fruit. (Also, fat-free? Why would anyone have that as a requirement?) |
|
Gummy candy, sour patch kids, fruit sorbet, meringues, pixie straws, jelly beans, fruit leather ….
|
For my kid it was severe gastroparesis, but gallbladder disease can cause this too. |
Sorry to hear that. I have never heard of anyone needing to be totally fat-free, that must be incredibly difficult to accommodate. |
|
Gluten free muffins/mini cakes using applesauce in place of butter/oil
Meringue cookies Fruit, berries Gummy bears or Swedish Fish |
Rice, crispy treats are not actually gluten-free for the record. Or rather, they can be, but you have to buy only specific brands of rice crispies style cereal, and the branded rice Krispies have gluten |
|
What about something involving jello?
Like rainbow Jell-O, or a Jell-O aquarium with Swedish fish |
I would be nut free completely, but provide and clearly identify cupcakes that were dairy free, some and some that are gluten free. Or both if a kid can’t do either. What kid needs fat free? |
Okay. I see how a kid has to be fat free. So, I would get a variety of cupcakes such that each food issue is accounted because no one will want to eat a “cupcake” that is all of them. |
| Fruit skewers is the answer. |
| apples |
| I have a friend who doesn't eat food that contains animal fat because often it has pork. Are you sure this child can not eat any fats? |
|
Just go with a non edible treat. The kids will appreciate it more than whatever tasteless concoction you come up with.
Only in DCUMland is this an issue. Normal people have a regular treat with other options for allergies. Maybe try that. Not everyone wants a completely allergy free “treat”. |
| Jell-O gelatin cups - these were always a hit at my older DD's dairy/egg/nut free preschool. We'd do 'sundaes' with coconut whipped cream and freeze-dried berries...the whipped cream is out for you, but could still do sprinkles or freeze dried fruit on top. |
