Wins what? Anyone that wants to make medical decisions for their families based on rfk instead of their doc went that way long ago. He is not changing anyone's minds.

You are forgetting how many people didn't have privilege to practice personal medical decisions because of the vax mandates in some industries (medical profession, etc) and places like NYC (where ALL employers of ALL sizes had mandates and you could not literally work anywhere unless you were remote and your company had multiple out of state offices). Many cities had vaxxports and NYC had them for 5 year old+ kids. I absolutely support RFK and I can't wait for all the investigations of horrible abuses of power in our major cities and private hospitals and most colleges to deny people their basic rights over their bodies, to force medical interventions upon them they didn't need (many were Covid recovered by the time mandates hit) and their doctors didn't advise for their age, risk group, etc. Nobody is restricting your access to whatever vaccines and meds you want.

Like was said.... people that wanted to ignore the advice of their doc in favor of rfks medical guidance went that way already.

My doctor didn't advise Covid shots for our family AT ALL. I doubt it was PCPs pushing their patients to take the shots. And if they did, it's probably because you are high risk or brought up the matter yourself. We didn't bring it up and no doctor ever suggested we take them. In fact most people took them upon advise of our government officials, propaganda that it stops Covid infection and transmission (they don't), TV and entertainment celebrities, and their workplace mandates or college mandates.

Most docs recommended getting vaccinated against covid for the vast majority of people.

How did they "recommend" it? Do tell. You go for your physical or you go to a specialist, how does this topic even come up? The only way it was "recommended" to us is via messages in your in-mail in whatever medical healthcare chain or hospital care facility chain you belong to. I went to a lot of doctors and also pediatricians, and none of them brought this up during any of our appointments, and this was in NYC. Guess who kept bringing this up though.. our employers, and schools, and you get kicked out of all the activities and can't go to public indoor places

If you ask them they would, they have to follow protocols.

There are quite some people still angry about the mandates (especially as they are still in place).
It is especially unfair they are in places with the worst balance of power: colleges and legal immigration.
If he plays it well, I think he will get a lot of votes.

Ummmmmm...."doc, should I get vaccinated against covid?". Or. " Doc, should my child be vaccinated against covid?". Then the doctor answers the question. It's not complicated.

He is anti-mandate. Most people are not "anti-vaxxers", they are concerned about the government coercion involved with the covid vax.

In a global pandemic with a new virus that kills people, the way to ensure public safety is to get people to test and vaccinate. States where people did this had less negative health impact and deaths that states and countries that didn't.

We already have "coercion" of vaccinations in the form of all of the shots babies and kids get for the 18 years before they are adults. There is a reason that until very recently, Polio was a thing of the past. Now, it isn't because of lunatics like RFK, Jr.

Compare and contrast the outcome of states or countries with different policies and tell me the juice was worth the squeeze. Public trust in health organizations has been destroyed for marginal at best differences. Medical treatment should never be coerced as it drives further distrust.

Public trust was destroyed because Trump destroyed it with his nonsense. Cow paste, anyone?

Ivermectin is prescribed to humans in tablet form. It is not a "horse dewormer", it's sometimes used off label, but even on-label it IS prescribed as an anti-parasitic drug to humans because, guess what, genius, humans get parasites too. "science".

And if covid were a parasite, it might have helped.

Tell me you don't know anything about "off label" uses of approved medications without telling me. Many medications are used off label. for example, anti-malaria hydroxychloroquine is used for Lupus patients.

Post the evidence it worked for covid.

My doctor brought it up with me. He went to Hopkins Med School and is in a practice with a bunch of other Hopkins trained docs. He’s the only one there that I see but he was and is proactive at bringing up vaccines and recommending them. I’m in my mid 50s, pudgy (not obese) and in overall great health.

He also brought up the Shingles vaccines, and I got them too.

I just mention Hopkins in this because I figure they are roughly the standard bearers for good care.

sorry. I have a PhD in microbiology and I subscribe to aspects of the vaccine "conspiracy". You can't have a system where drugs/procedures that costs billions and take 5-8 years to be approved to suddenly go "its all good" and go to production in 6 months with no long term studies and then force it on people and have them not be skeptical.

Ok fine.

Why don't you the rest of the maga antivaxers vote for this fool. Especially if you live in a swing state!

Sure. They will take 5-8 years when the economy is shut and 10% of the people are dying? This is like saying during WW2 it always took 3 years to build a ship so that is how fast we will built a ship. No way should we redirect resources and man power to speed up the process.

And the 1.14 million people in the US who DIED from Covid? They never really existed and/or didn't really die. MAGA!

RFK Jr IS actually an anti-vaxxer though. He has made statements about the debunked "link" between the MMR vaccine and autism. Long before fears about the Covid vaccine dumped a bunch of new people into anti-vax spheres, RFK Jr was going strong on the vaccine misinformation.

Should I take the advice of my doctor who has a medical school education and years of experience treating patients or some anonymous fool on DCUM? This is such a tough one.
