What was the article about the conviction?

According to the post following yours, the article was completely fake.

If my name is on an article that states that, say, there was massive voter fraud in PA and that statement has been found to be false, would it be fair to call me an election denier?

You can't be this stupid (I mean, you can, but I am assuming that you aren't). If you wrote an article saying that there was massive voter fraud in PA and that statement is later found to be false, it would be fair to call you an election denier. If, on the other hand, massive election fraud was discovered, your article would be accurate, even if you yourself were later convicted of voter fraud.

In this case, Gordon Meek never debunked PizzaGate. In an article about Russian propaganda, he mentioned, "the debunked 'Pizzagate' conspiracy theory". That is a completely accurate description.

Gordon Meek put his name on the article. So it’s accurate to say he was part and parcel in debunking Pizzagate. I’m not saying that Pizzagate is true. I’m simply stating that Meek was supporting the abuse of children while at the same time, calling out Cernovich for believing a story about child abuse. Pretty ironic.

Okay, I gave you the benefit of the doubt but you really are that stupid. Meek did not debunk PizzaGate. He mentioned that others had debunked the conspiracy theory. That was an accurate statement and one with which you apparently agree. Similarly, he described the many conspiracies that Cernovich propagated. He was also accurate about that. I am not sure why you are criticizing Meek for his accurate writing while defending his inaccurate allegations about Arabs.

I don’t’ know why you are defending a man who abused kids?

I am not defending him. Why are you defending conspiracy theorist Cernovich and supporting Meek's inaccurate reporting on Arabs?

The reporter was molesting kids and convicted. That not distorted or fake but I would say it is weird and concerning.

Hundreds of journalists reported about the Pizzagate hoax. Why is the fact that one turned out to be a child molester important? Do you believe this means that Pizzagate was not a hoax?

Kind of falls under the "me thinks this guy protests too much".

He, like many others, did accurate reporting. Again, what is your point here? Do you think that Democrats really were holding children as sex slaves in the basement of Comet Pizza? Do you believe that nut cases like your buddy Cernovich weren't spreading conspiracy theories about Comet Pizza? Really, what is your point?

My point is pretty clear. That a reporter who blamed a mentally ill Marine for attempting a rescue of what he thought were kids in danger at Comet Pizza , was in fact, performing heinous acts on children.

The only thing Cernovich seemed to get wrong was the place.

Sad to see that you've gone full QAnon, but I guess that was always inevitable. Edgar Welch never served in the military, let alone the Marines. He has not been diagnosed as mentally ill. Of course, he should be blamed for his armed attack on Comet Pizza, do you suggest otherwise?

James Gordon Meek, the reporter in question, was hired by Republican Peter King as a staff member on the House Committee on Homeland Security before he went to work for ABC News. Why aren't you investigating why Republicans hired a child sexual abuser? Moreover, Meek's most famous story was not PizzaGate — he did not have a prominent role in covering that story — but rather a purely invented allegation that Arabs intended to bomb the Hudson River tunnels. That's probably what brought him to the attention of the virulently anti-Arab King.

As for Cernovich, he promoted the allegation that the Clintons were running a pedophile ring in the basement of Comet Pizza (which doesn't have a basement as Welch found out). You think he only got the place wrong? So, you agree with him that the Clintons were running a pedophile ring? If so, your mind is well and truly gone.

I believe the Clintons are capable of a lot of evil (see Haiti as one example) but Comet Pizza? Nope. Do I believe that the government doesn’t want to see child sex crimes? Yes - the FBI took a lot of agents away from the child sex crimes unit(s) to work on Jan 6th. Do I believe that the Biden administration is allowing kids to be abused at the border? Yes. I’d rather have kids separated from parents at the border to be sure those kids are not being simply trafficked.

I’d be careful when you speak of Arabs being accused of bombings. It’s not like there isn’t a track record?

Did you see the recent NY times magazine article about migrant children working horrificly dangerous animal processing factory jobs?

I’m not defending Cernovich on the location. Regarding the potential bombing, even the FBI said there was chatter and it wasn’t from US sources. So Meek was not entirely wrong on this. Given how much we know about the FBI now, I think it’s safe to say they don’t always tell the whole truth:

“ On July 6, 2006, the New York Daily News released a story claiming the FBI had disrupted a terrorist plot to bomb the tunnels connecting New Jersey with Manhattan and drown the New York Financial District with a torrent of water.

The following day the FBI clarified there had been online messages about the idea, but none of the authors were in the United States or making efforts to enter the United States, and counterterrorism officials cast doubt on the significance of the alleged plot and some authorities questioned the breaking news first reported by James Gordon Meek.”.
