Princeton ?

NP — I wouldn’t want my kid to go to Princeton. It’s full of elitist a-holes.

But Harvard doesn’t have any? Lol. You’re clueless

Did I say I would want my kid to go to Harvard?

Forgot Georgetown--22 in USNews but plays above its ranking. Solid brand name. My kid didn't get in but is at an Ivy; she really wanted Georgetown.

(I specify the loan amounts to depict one who must sacrifice to attend an elite school at full sticker price.)

Assume that the student is undecided regarding major and career.

Nope. Not gonna play. It’s a silly game until you know where you’re accepted to.

Nope. You should play because it should affect where you apply. You don't want your kid to fall in love with a place, get accepted, and then you realize "I don't want to pay full price, oops".

Based on prestige & job placements, most parents whom I know would pay full price for Georgetown University.

I am the OP.

Would pay full price (including $30,000 in student loans) for almost all top 25 National Universities and about 6 or 7 LACs/SLACs. Of course, depends upon the particular student's interests.

If limited to naming 25 colleges and universities for which I would pay full price (incl. $30,000 in student loans) for an undecided major (non-engineering as that major / area of study requires a serious commitment from one's first semester of college) :

Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, U Penn, Columbia, Chicago, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Brown, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Duke, Cornell, WashUStL, Johns Hopkins, and Rice.

Williams College, Claremont McKenna College, Amherst College, Middlebury College, Swarthmore College, Pomona College & Davidson College.

My choices are in line with US News rankings. Surrounded by brilliant, motivated students at a school with a healthy endowment.

Also, would have no problem paying resident price for several public National Universities.
