Biden impeachment

They will use it through the election, no different than "her emails" and "Benghazi"

An impeachment inquiry is the way to go.

Even the media, and some Democrats (Goldman, for one) has pivoted from "no evidence" of Joe Biden corruption to "no hard evidence" or "no direct evidence." Time to dig into the bank statements, the LLCs, the emails and texts, and everything else that has been uncovered in a few short months.

God, you poor thing.

Why does the GOP think an impeachment of Biden will be any more successful than several impeachments of Trump?

An impeachment inquiry gives the House a bit more power to get documents and witnesses.
Here is a Lawfare article outlining some of that. I somehow doubt a similar article would be written about a Biden impeachment.

Biden can just follow the trump precedent of refusing to cooperate.

They already have everything. There isn't more evidence to gain.

That doesn’t answer the question.

Biden can easily claim executive privilege for document and witness. By the time it clears SCOTUS, the House will be under democratic control and the dems will have a super majority in the senate. It’s the prefect play. Let republicans go on national tv and show their crazy.

The goal here is not to actually remove Biden but rather to create counter-programming to Trump's criminal proceedings. The ultimate "both-sides". To normalize Trump's rampant criminality.

Bingo. Even GOP loon Ken Buck says there's no evidence.

"We can waste our time on issues that are not important or we can focus on issues that are," he added. "The reality is that the impeachment process is one that is going on right now. ... There is not a strong connection at this point between the evidence on Hunter Biden and any evidence connecting the president."

Ken Buck, Republican Freedom Caucus member on impeachment.

It isn't even that there isn't any strong connection. There is NO connection.

Here is the Dems debunking the right wing effery.

the facts matter, and what the GOP is trying to do here seriously undermines our republic and cheapens the impeachment process, the thing we have that helps keep our leadership accountable. Impeaching Clinton for lying about a blowjob was pretty low, but he lied under oath even though it was not material to his job in office.

But if we are going to expect more from our leaders, then we should expect members of a party to also hold their own accountable, and on this, the GOP has failed, but to turn around and use the impeachment process as a political 'fact finding expedition" when rational republicans admit there is nothing here, is a travesty.

So, to keep his job, McCarthy gives in to the crazies.

Great. Like our country does not have enough issues to fix right now. The government is literally about to shut down.

And the House has opened NO inquiry about Kushner's multi-BILLION dollar Saudi deal.

Any of you who vote for a Republican at any level should be ashamed. That party gets more and more craven each day. They DO NOT really care about the country or the constitution. Please do not be like them, and just take actions (i.e. vote) to help yourself, no matter that you know it threatens to end our democracy (i.e. if Trump gains power ever again).

WTH! I just got this notification on my phone and jumped on here to see WHY? Look, I'm a Dem who can't stand Biden, but this is ridiculous. Is this about Hunter? What is the reasoning?
