It's a game that they're both setting themselves up to win with a "have your cake and eat it too" strategy. They'll have the vote to open an impeachment inquiry hearings as a signal to the MAGA crazies, while knowing there's enough moderates still to prevent it from actually happening.

I guess McCarthy is moving forward with this. The GOP who have been interviewed admit they have no evidence which is WHY they are using an impeachment inquiry as a means of investigation.

They will use it through the election, no different than "her emails" and "Benghazi"
