Biden impeachment

Why are we about to waste time with this?

After much careful consideration, I have decided not to vote for Hunter Biden in 2024.

Because the GOP cannot govern, and this is the best they can do to try to excite their voters to support them next fall.

I've gotten a bit lost. I thought McCarthy was against this but now is pushing it? Or do I have that wrong?

That’s kind of their point. If they can successfully sell the lie that Trump was politically targeted and that impeachment is meaningless, they can keep some more boobs in their fold.

Because the GOP wants us all to feel like we’re high on meth and keep hitting our head on the wall for the “BoThSiDeS” brigade to feel like politics is bad.

My opinion only: I think McCarthy doesn’t want to do this because he knows it will lose him the speakership when the Democrats win the House back in 2024. He has an incredibly small margin and zero accomplishments for the aforementioned 18 Republicans who are representing districts Biden won. BUT I think McCarthy thinks he has to do it to please the rabid MAGA base who will dump him out of the chair sooner than January 2025. And he has no chance of any of these clowns passing a dozen spending bills that can get through the Senate, so might as well?

It'll be hilarious, in the run-up to the Presidential election, to watch the MAGA camp push moderate conservatives and independents further away with their little impeachment tantrums. The difference between Trump crimes and Biden "crimes" will be magnified for all to see.

Trump indictments and MAGA pursuit of Biden will materially contribute to low turn-out of the Republican base for this election. They are helping Biden win a second term, since the Democrats, what with abortion and other issues, are very motivated to vote.

Wrong. This is the only way to get the information to the public. MSM is ignoring it and covering for Biden. Just like they hid the truth about Hunter's laptop--along with the "Intelligence" officials.

Maybe if you turned off the Fox News/MSNBC cable news garbage and tuned into MSM instead, you would be less misinformed.

Excellent. Run with that, please. See how that works for you!

Yes, McCarthy's hand is forced. It's one of the consequences of his lack of margin as Speaker. Nothing can get done because the extremists on the right are prepared to sabotage any and every bill. So McCarthy has to barter away some things, including his own honor and credibility.

Because Il Douche is in deep caca.

I don't get how this would undermine McCarthy's honor and credibility. Isn't an impeachment inquiry just an investigation into whether there may be grounds for impeachment, with added status to access more easily privileged materials than a not so-called investigation could?

What acts are they planning to investigate?

If he gets impeached, he’s finished because no one will vote for him in the upcoming election.

I see what you did there.
