Montgomery County (MD) Animal Shelter urgently needs adopters and fosters

I have had to kick so many small dogs off me over the years. I cannot stand them.

It is the owners' fault. People are too lazy to train their dogs.

We are eager to adopt but won’t go for a pitbull. That’s all any of the shelters have.

There's a reason pitties are called the "nanny dog." A barkey little sh*t dog has never been called a nanny dog.

We have 5 -- yes 5 -- of those awful dachshunds in our neighborhood (2 families). Noisy, annoying, and they lunge at you when you walk by them.

That is an excellent study. Thank you for sharing.

I had to teach pretty far down to get to this point but the study notes that is based on cases from Denver childrens and Denver had a pit bull pan. Despite the ban, the worst case was a pit bull attqck.

Check with the local rescues as well. I foster for Big Fluffy Dog Rescue, and we have lots of non-Pitbull dogs, as well as puppies. You can window shop here:

If you search the group, you can see my soon to be foster, Nirvana.

There is always an asterisk with anything that doesn't include bully breeds. Good catch.

Pit bulls are also one of the most abused breeds. And of course, if it is the 'family' who abuses them why wouldn't they attack?
