What a dream!

I started at 26. Age is important for fertility.

+1 it’s no guarantee but it’s a lot easier to be “lucky” younger.

I have a friend who keeps telling me how “lucky” I was. She just started trying at 38. Okay…

That’s such a rude way to respond, even in your own head. One way or another you have something she desires but has no control over, so yes you are lucky.

Maybe if we talked bluntly about the fact that you're more likely to be unlucky if you start trying after 35, instead of calling it rude to take note of that fact, fewer women would back themselves into this corner.

Yes, I mean kids don't really need a father. Women can get pregnant before finding a partner. Is that what you meant?

Her problem wasn't that she couldn't find a partner. She wasn't looking/was partying. Which is true in every case I personally know of, for women who didn't start trying until it was obviously too late to get pregnant easily. That's my personal experience. Maybe you are especially ugly so it was harder for you, but for my friends, it wasn't a lack of options, it was a lack of timely interest in settling down.

The misogynistic incels are drawn to fertility threads like insects to bright light. How boring.

I started trying at age of 33, got pregnant at first try and guess what, I was pregnant with twins (boy/girl). And my pregnancy was smooth and easy even compared to singleton. No morning sickness and I was working out till I was 29 weeks pregnant.
Guess what! I developed postpartum pre e and was on BP med for a while. I was in disbelief that I have high bp considering I always have low BP before pregnancy, something like 90/60 ish.
My OB said this to me after I was hooked to mag drip in bed and I agree " You have to pay the price one way or another"

But there's luck if finding your life partner before 26! I can think of maybe 3 friends total who had that
