My DC was also reading at age 2, and read Harry potter in pre K, and one could say socially is not as advanced. But i want to add to the discussion not just shout me too, me too!
I have a child in the cathedral schools (NCS/STA) and for the first time ever, they are being challenged. It isn't differentiation, it is other kids who can do what they can do. That makes a big difference to not feel like you are so far ahead everyone else.
I love the school and the way they have motivated this child to be the best they can be, to become organized, to read and then to read some more...being smart is cool, and recognized by the other kids as a cool thing.
I am so happy to hear that your child is doing well in school and is enjoying his/her experience at NCS/STA. Can you please share what type of environment he/she was in prior to attending NCS/STA? Were they at Beauvoir or a different private school or were they in public school? Also, what grade is your child in now? And at what grade did he/she start at NCS/STA? Sorry for so many questions...
Thanks!
