Agreed!!!!! |
Not in all cases, in our experience. Some kids work and have some spare money and do it. |
School lunches are not all bad, but you can always just pack. It’s not Chipotle or nothing. |
| People can choose how to spend their money. I find it wasteful and wouldn’t do it, but other kids/parents clearly disagree. If the school isn’t interested in banning deliveries or enforcing a ban, I’m not sure there’s anything to do but shrug and move on. |
| Its a shame because the one day my kid forgot lunch, I delivered it to the school and was told my child could not come down to get it. No deliveries allowed. A friend donated an apple and that was lunch. They did survive. It was high school. |
If parents can afford to door dash a lunch, then they can afford to pack a decent lunch and send it. No excuse |
I'm also a HS teacher. While this is crazy and unacceptable, it is also an example of why I love teenagers so much.
|
Public schools will give the student a hot lunch in this case. |
| My kids always ate the school lunch |
Wrong. UMC aren't doing this everyday but enough to make it annoying to the staff. |
It was public school but my child probably did not know this as he had hot lunch 1 time in kindergarten and never wanted it again. |
| My kid goes to a poor public high school in Baltimore City and it's a thing there too! I have no idea how the kids are financing this. |
Yep same. We had a whole issue last year when a kid went to the side door and let a driver into the school. Now every single day we have to hear “Do not open any side doors for visitors” on the announcements. It’s a pain in the ass! |
You think real UMC can afford 20 a day a few days a week for a kids lunch. That’s Rich. |
Your kids go to public school don’t they? |
