I mean theres already a JFK why not have an RFK? |
So idiotic and totally false. IAD has the most international air travel in the region. It’s also among the top 10 largest in the country and a major United hub. We get all nonstop flights from Dulles. It is one of the nations busiest. Plus, no one is going to cater to the 600,000 DC residents. Frankly, that’s small fry. DC metro has nearly 6 million residents and the vast majority live in the burbs. The money and population are in VA/MD. |
| I’d rather sign a petition to strip Regan’s name from DCA and every other piece of infrastructure it was hastily slapped on to after his death in 2004. |
You might recall a time just after 9/11 when DCA was shut down an additional month. People fly out of IAD or BWI. |
| Shut down BWI and shift traffic to DCA and IAD |
| I know someone who mixed up Dulles airport with the airport in Dallas. So it may be a good thing to change the name. |
While I agree that that would be a fitting choice, it would be confused with the existing John Wayne airport, the way Dulles and Dallas is confusing, as a PP mentions. |
I heard about someone managing to get on a plane at LAX that was going to Auckland rather than Oakland where he wanted to go. Now that would be a shock. |
|
With all the times I roll through on my G650 it should be named after me! I do detest the drive in but I get work done.

| Woodrow Wilson international Airport |
Love it when the WaPo mentions Reagan National and all the aging boomer hippies loose their _ _ _ _ in the comments section!

Now you're just spewing lies as you stomp your feet? Dulles is the largest and busiest airport in the DC area. But you knew that. Washington Dulles International Airport is located 26 miles from DC in suburban Virginia. Dulles Airport is also the primary international airport for the DC region, with almost 140 nonstop domestic and international destinations on nearly 40 airlines. https://washington.org/dc-guide-to/washington-dc-airports#Washington%20Dulles%20International%20Airport It's the busiest airport in the D.C. metro area, with 36 million passengers passing through its halls in 2018. If you're flying internationally, this is probably the airport you should pick, as it has 57 nonstop options to Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America (plus 87 nonstop domestic routes). https://www.tripsavvy.com/washington-dc-airports-1040459 |
Someone who has never been to a third world airport ^^^ |
BWI has more passengers per year than IAD and DCA. Clearly you're stupid. |
Why do you care? It’s not that important. |
