I do not eat breakfast because I am not hungry in the morning. I have been this way my entire life. My mother battled with me for years because I wouldn’t eat breakfast before school (starting in kindergarten). I eat plenty from 11 am on… |
I have first breakfast just before I work out- half an English muffin or plain eggo with black coffee. Then, second breakfast after my workout- English muffin, hard-boiled egg, kale/avocado/basil, or whatever greens we have in the fridge or garden, and black coffee. Sometimes electrolytes if my workout has been hard or it’s hot.
If I don’t workout, then I eliminate first breakfast. |
I intermittent fast and don't have breakfast. I usually start eating between 12-2 pm and finish eating around 6-7 pm. I try to eat the bigger meal first - usually protein, an egg or two, vegetables. |
It seems that many of you dont work? Or if you do, how do you make this all work, including mid-day or twice/day workouts? |
I'm the PP who mentioned breakfast one and breakfast two. I work full-time. Training session 1 is at 5 am, training session 2 is during my lunch break. |
I work from home and I’m self employed. I don’t work out at the exact same time every day, but I’m just not a person who can work out first thing in the morning. |
I’m a PP poster and a teacher. It gets really tricky during the school year. I barely have time to eat. And I workout in the evening. |
I do eat breakfast. Yogurt and fruit (summer) and eggs with veggies or oatmeal (winter). I try to space my meals at least 5 hours apart with no snacks - a variation on IF. |
Work from home is critical for a lot of this. I also take calls on my treadmill or during long passive meetings on my bike trainer. I also don’t have time for other things and the training is my entertainment mostly and spending time with my spouse. |
I eat when I am hungry and I am typically not hungry until 10:30 or 11, so it is easy to push until lunch.
Occasionally I will be hungry and eat breakfast, which is usually eggs or leftover dinner. Today, for example, I had leftover chicken salad in a romaine lettuce wrap. If I eat oatmeal or a bagel I will be ravenous all day. |
I am a PP who mentioned a mid day workout. I work full time but use my lunchtime to get in my workout, whether I’m at the office or at home. Then I eat while responding to emails or on a conference call. If I plan on doing 2 workouts in a day it’s usually a weekend or it’s morning while kids are asleep/nighttime after kids are asleep. |
Another pp who works out midday and also because I work from home. I never do two a days. I have a flexible job and can pretty consistently carve out time in the day to get it done, sometimes taking calls or listening to meetings, sometimes just have my laptop there with me and will monitor my teams channel to see if I need to pause to deal with something. |
Another teacher who's trying to take advantage of the moment, and move as much as I can. And also not waking up at 4:45 to get a run in ![]() |
Not the PP, but I think Liquid IV has the best nutritional profile for moderate/heavy exercise or illness. LMNT has way too much sodium. |
