| You'll have to ask my servants. I don't know what they use. |
| We use Tide unscented and the laundry still has a very mild “fresh” smell. I can’t explain it but it’s not odorless. |
That last sentence is so true. Cigarette smell is another scent you tend to not smell in those homes. |

I love perfume, and pick non-toxic, mostly unscented cleaning products for my clothes, home and shower, so that I can focus on picking the right scent for the right day and mood. My shampoo does have a scent, because it's the only one I've found that works for my hair, and it does not come unscented - however the smell is pretty light, and I rinse well. I collect vintage perfumes, with the original ingredients that are not available anymore. A sealed bottle of vintage has a practically unchanged scent from when it was packed (the top notes may have evaporated slightly).
My night face cream does have a pleasant scent that helps me relax, but my day beauty products do not, or so little that it's unobtrusive. To your question, OP, we use unscented Biokleen detergent these days. |
| I rub all of my clothes thoroughly with gold bars when they’re still warm from the dryer….. that way the heat transfers just a bit of gold dust onto my clothes. That’s probably what you’re smelling. |
I think you mean your servants do. |
Common(er) mistake. I dont trust my servants to handle my laundry gold. |
| Miele brand dryers have miele brand scents that can be infused into your laundry while drying. |
| Not wealthy (solidly UMC) but we used to use The Laundress and it had a very nice subtle fresh scent. Sadly they had a massive recall and have taken all products off the shelf for now. |
| Most people I know use don't use solid soap when they shower and use gel or liquid soaps that are scented. I think it's that plus hair products. |

Unscented dye-free Costco liquid detergent.

It is because you don't have one. No one in this area refers to their domestic help as servants. We have several live-in and coming weekly help and never referred to them as servants. They are employees. |
I think someone doesn't understand humor. |
My eyes just rolled out of my head. What a window into the psyche of privileged know nothings. This person actually believes that poor people smell because they can’t afford to be clean. Jesus. |
