I know this sounds stupid, but I have noticed that a lot of my upper middle class friends smell really great. I ask about perfume but they say the aren't wearing any. It would be totally weird to ask about their detergent so I'm asking here!
What detergents do you most commonly associate with UMC or just rich people in general? |
|
Wealthier people like myself tend to favor unscented products. This includes detergents.
I suspect part of the reason is that we can afford professional cleaning services, so we tend not to have odors in our day-to-day lives that require ,asking by perfumes. You don’t see a lot of Glade Plug-Ins or Yankee candles in finer homes. |
| Mrs Meyers, understated natural scents. |
| Maybe they take shower. Try that first. |
| Honestly, plain old Tide. My in-laws have multiple live in housekeepers and they are the ones buying the detergent. |
| +1 for powdered original Tide |
| It's probably their fancy hair product TBH. But Mrs Myers is used by the wealthy person I know ha |
| Unscented, natural detergents |
Settle down, Burr |

Cheapest price of anything unscented
Sometimes All, sometimes Tidd, sometimes Arm and Hammer etc |
| It's the smell of money. |
+1, I use unscented tide but it’s very hard to find all unscented hair products. The more expensive products often do smell better. |
OK, but OP is literally saying that her wealthy friends smell like something. So no, not all wealthy people (like yourself) are scent-free. |
They are wearing creams or a spritz of something, that they want to keep to themselves. (like not sharing what work was done on their face--it's just natural...I smell something). |
Welp, I’m another wealthy person who uses unscented. Seventh generation unscented laundry detergent. I hate fake smells from products. |
