I'd think Indiana is more polluted than Michigan, no? You can see crazy factories, refineries, etc. and who know what being pumping into the air driving through Indiana outside of Chicago and through Gary. |

| Michigan without a doubt. It’s one of the few states between the Appalachians and the Rockies worth living in. |

I was born and raised in Wisconsin. Went to UW-Madison. Love cheese curds and brats and beer and Badgers and Packers of course. I have great nostalgia for all things Wisconsin. However, after 40 some years of living outside of Wisconsin, I recently traveled to the "west coast" of Michigan (Saugatuck, Douglas, Holland) and spent a few days there just a couple of weeks ago. I loved it! Stayed at the Rosemont Inn. The cool breezes off of Lake Michigan and the art, restaurants, etc. are amazing there. It reminded me a bit of Door County, Wisconsin, but better in my opinion. The beaches are better for sure. It's a beautiful area. So really there are nice places in both states. I would prefer to live in one of the nice areas in either state, but right now I would buy a place near Saugatuck, Michigan to spend summers there (if I win the lottery I might be able to afford one of them). I have been gone for too long to do winters there again. |

I'm from MI (20 yrs in DC) and would vote MI over WI.
It's definitely better connected to to the world (DTW), up north is amazing, Detroit has a lot of interesting culture, and the state universities are top notch - love ann arbor. Plus Buddies Pizza. This is a no-brainer. All that said - I'm never going back. |

There's an airline, Suncountry, that flies from that region of the country to some pretty nice sunny locations, like Orlando. |
| Wisconsin! I was born in Milwaukee but would probably pick Madison. LOVE LOVE LOVE Madison |
Love Saugatuck! During our most recent visit we stopped at Guardian Brewing Company, it is a LGBTQ and women owned brewery and the beer and food was awesome. Perfect after a long hike with our dogs at Saugatuck Dunes State park. Michigan has it's problems, but at least politically it is improving. Pot is also legal, the Green Koi dispensary was another great stop in Saugatuck .

| Wisconsin. I just loathe the east coast time zone. |

Michigan for sure
better woods, nature, lakes and cities |

I know many people who either grew up in WI or MI or went to college or grad school there. They have fond memories and enjoy short visits, but nobody would prefer to live there.
There’s a reason why certain states and cities have high housing costs: because they are desirable on multiple levels. Others simply are not. |
