Don't give up hope. My childhood dog was trained in English, and then met my great-grandma who talked to her in Yiddish. She picked up commands in Yiddish very quickly.

Ha. They will learn! My dog lives in an English speaking home, but has MANY Spanish speaking friends in the neighborhood. She's got all the commands down with little practice and gets excited to hear Spanish on walks and show off her tricks. I do speak Spanish so working on expanding vocab there since we didn't in initial training!

I complain to my dog about my job, in a happy sing song voice. Better than complaining to humans.
