Can we get an emergency closure tomorrow?

I started sneezing as soon as I left the house today and DS has had ridiculously puffy, red eyes. I don't think k they should cancel school but they absolutely need to cancel any outdoor activities. Mcps has but not sure about universities

I don’t want a closure at this point. I’m trying to remember; have we had any closures this year?

1 plane crash day in November.

Um summer break starts in 7 school days… what do you think is gonna happen then?

People plan for that. They don’t plan for unscheduled unnecessary closures

If you have kids, you should know you always have things happen that you don’t “plan” for. That’s being a parent.

Thanks for the reminder. I vaguely recalled we’d had one for an unusual reason, but I couldn’t remember what it was.

I’m for using a snow day for a code red day because the advice is to stay indoors with closed windows.

Many had trouble breathing with even limited exposure and had to use their inhalers multiple times. It’s difficult to keep the polluted air out with all the people going in and out of schools and buses.

Schools are indoors with closed windows. Wear a mask, and keep your kids home if you want.

So what? School is not your babysitter.

Oh, please. Sorry, this I Care So Deeply About The Poors but didn’t work during COVID and it doesn’t work now. Denied.
